Kathmandu, Nepal: : A 4.7-magnitude earthquake jolted many people awake and forced them to go outside in the early hours of Saturday (June 11, 2022).
The National Seismological Centre detected the earthquake at 2.36 a.m., with the epicentre in Bhaktapur district, 15 kilometres east of the capital city.
The tremor was felt throughout the Kathmandu valley. However, no injuries or property damage were recorded immediately following the occurrence.
Many people commented on social media that it reminded them of the catastrophic earthquake in 2015.
