On Friday, July 1, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised ISRO’s PSLV C53 mission for setting a record by sending two payloads of Indian start-ups into space. He also expressed optimism that many more Indian businesses will travel to space soon.

ISRO successfully launched three foreign satellites in a precise orbit from the Sriharikota spaceport on Thursday using PSLV C53, its second successful commercial mission in a week.
Six payloads were carried by the PSLV Orbital Experimental Module (POEM), including two from Indian space start-ups, Digantara and Dhruva Space, which were made possible by IN-SPACe and NewSpace India Limited (NSIL).

In a tweet, Mr. Modi stated that “the PSLV C53 mission has achieved a new milestone by launching two payloads of Indian Start-ups in Space.”

“Thank you @INSPACeIND and @isro for making this project possible.

In the near future, I’m confident that many more Indian enterprises will venture into space “declared the prime minister.
