Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen will visit Delhi this week for a bilateral Joint Consultative Commission (JCC) meeting, which will enable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina plan for a trip in the coming months.

The visit is especially notable because Bangladesh is one of the Muslim majority nations that has not released a statement or summoned the Indian envoy in response to the BJP spokespersons’ anti-Muslim statements.

According to those close to the situation, the JCC will take place on or around June 18. The conference will be co-chaired by the foreign ministers and will focus on themes like as connectivity, river water sharing, investments, and security collaboration.
