NEW DELHI, INDIA : In June 2022, Indian banks are expected to remain closed for up to eight days, including the second and fourth Saturdays, as well as Sundays. Banks will be closed on two days in May, aside from weekends, according to a list provided by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Due to various holidays, banks will be closed in certain states or towns. It’s worth noting that banks are open on the first and third Saturdays of each month.
Holidays are divided into three categories by the Reserve Bank of India: Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts. People are urged to confirm the holiday dates in their particular states before planning bank-related business. The RBI has issued the following list of holidays.
