New York: Justin Bieber revealed to followers in an Instagram video on Friday that he had Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which causes partial facial paralysis.
The 28-year-old pop artist announced his suspension of his Justice World Tour owing to sickness only hours before his first scheduled show in Toronto.

Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is a shingles complication that arises when an epidemic affects the facial nerve near one ear. It can induce hearing loss as well as facial paralysis.

“As you can see, this eye isn’t blinking, I can’t grin on this side of my face, and this nose isn’t moving,” Bieber said in a video.

“So this side of my face is completely paralysed. So, for those who are disappointed by my cancellations of the upcoming events, I’m simply not physically capable of conducting them. As you can see, this is a terrible situation.”
The “Peaches” singer claimed he was performing face exercises and resting to “recover and relax so I can do what I was created to do.”

He did not provide a timetable for his rehabilitation.

It is the third time Bieber’s tour has been cancelled, the first two times because to the Covid-19 epidemic.
