“Mumbai Police has issued the notification. She has been summoned to Pydhonie Police Station “according to a police source
According to the source, the Pydhonie Police Station filed a FIR against Sharma under several sections of the Indian Penal Code in response to Raza Academy’s complaint.
During a news debate in the latter week of May 2022, Nupur Sharma questioned what if she made harsh words against Islam in the same manner that others were making terrible remarks about Shivling and Hinduism.
Since then, the intimidation campaign against the former BJP spokesman has raged on, with domestic and international Islamists calling for her death. She has received several death and beheading threats.
A number of FIRs have also been filed against her in various Indian states. Despite her suspension from the BJP for alleged blasphemy and subsequent apologies, Islamists continue to threaten her.
There are also other bounties on her head currently, ranging from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 1 Crore.
