BENGALURU: Siddhanth Kapoor, the son of Bollywood star Shakti Kapoor, was held by Bengaluru Police on Sunday night for reportedly ingesting narcotics during a party in the city.

Police stormed a motel on MG Road where a party was being held after receiving a tip. The officers provided the samples of 35 persons accused of drug use. Siddhanth Kapoor’s sample was one of six that came back positive.

Police said it was unclear if they used narcotics before coming to the party or if they used them inside the hotel.

Siddhanth Kapoor, the son of Hindi cinema legend Shakti Kapoor, is an actor who played Chintu Dedha in the 2020 web series ‘Bhaukaal.’

He was also an assistant director in films like as ‘Bhagam Bhag,’ ‘Chup Chup Ke,’ ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya,’ and ‘Dhol.’

Shraddha Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor’s daughter, was among those questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s murder over alleged narcotics use. However, no meaningful evidence was presented. Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Deepika Padukone were questioned in September 2020 based on WhatsApp talks discovered by the NCB during its investigation into the narcotics case that arose following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
