HYDERABAD: According to reports, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will start a national party this month.
The initiative is part of a larger effort to rally opposition leaders ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
According to insiders, the new political party’s name would be ‘Bharatiya Rastra Samiti.’

KCR recently met with numerous opposition leaders.

Last month, KCR met with Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav at the former’s house in the national capital to address current national concerns, while also meeting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to tour the Mohalla clinic.

On May 26, the Telangana Chief Minister met with JD-S leader HD Deve Gowda and stated that there will be a national transformation that cannot be halted.
Notably, KCR’s efforts to form an anti-BJP coalition (third front) with all like-minded parties, barring the Congress, are fairly obvious. He embarked on an India trip, where he also attended national-level meetings and events, laying the groundwork for his larger goal of entering national politics.
Attempts are also being made to get assistance from all Indians residing overseas. Telangana NRIs from around the world enthusiastically supported Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s decision to enter national politics.

In a Zoom conference attended by NRIs from various countries, Telangana NRIs coordinator B Ganesh submitted a resolution asking NRI support for TRS Supremo and KCR’s decision to enter national politics.
